The collection acquires its name from the velcro AM1 patch to the tongue which is customisable with a set of 22 complementary patches which references key people and landmarks throughout the history of Air Max. Every patch telling its own story, their are significant nods to Air Max creator Tinker Hatfield, NikeLab stores in London, Paris, Milan, New York and Shanghai.
